Kelsey Chung

Contemporary Dance

Kelsey began her dance training (Ballet) at an early age, at the Jean M. Wong School of Ballet.  During that time, she was awarded a Tsinform C. Wong Memorial Scholarship, and gained high marks for all her RAD exams, whilst also participating the school’s annual performance Stars of Tomorrow. 

Kelsey obtained her BFA (Hons) degree at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, she has performed in numerous Academy productions as well as community performances at Hong Kong International Airport with the Excel programme of HKAPA and also with Dance Art (White Box Dance Series), also cooperated with different famous choerographers such as Cameron Mcmillon, Iratxe Ansa and John Utans.  She also competed in a group work in the The 10th Young Ballet Stars Award and The 44th Open Dance Contest, winning Silver and Gold Award respectively. 

In 2016, she has been awarded the Ballet Faculty Scholarships and the HSBC HKAPA Mainland China Study Programme. Recently she was selected to participate in a major cross-stream choreography for performances in Hong Kong and in Canada, at the World Dance Alliance Conference, 2017.
