Every year, Hong Kong Festival Orchestra and Voices (HKFO & HKFV) recruits some of the best musical talents from Hong Kong and abroad to perform in a series of concerts and creative presentations. Interested musicians with a heart to serve are encouraged to apply and participate in our festivals.
The programme and repertoire of our Summer Festival 2017 are as follows:
Festival Period: 22 April to 15 August 2017
Audition dates: 24, 25, and 26 May 2017, at 7:00-10:00pm
Rehearsal venue: Hong Kong Festival Hall, HKFO School of Music, 33 Marble Road
Provisional rehearsal dates: For HKFO: Twice a week in July and thrice a week in August
Rehearsals are expected to be held from 7 to 10pm, with the exception of on-site rehearsals on-the-day, which are expected to be held in the afternoon with the performance in the evening.

We expect at least 80% attendance for all of the rehearsals. The last three off-site rehearsals and the final on-site rehearsal are mandatory. Members who fell short of these requirements may not be allowed to perform.
Standard of musicianship: | HKFO recruits experienced instrumentalists playing at least to a LRSM level on their instruments, although attaining a graded qualification is not a prerequisite. HKFV recruits experienced choristers with at least 3 years of experience singing in choirs. |
