Application for the HKFO Summer Internship Programme 2017 now begins

Want to know how running an orchestra and a choir is like? Would you like to work alongside with internationally renowned artists? Join our Summer Internship Programme 2017. HKFO provides an opportunity for young leaders to learn the elementaries of choral and orchestral management. Through an 8-week shadowing session with our administrative, music and marketing departments, our programme aims to groom the cultural managers of tomorrow.

Requirements

  • Age of 17 or above
  • Good writing in Chinese and English
  • Proficiency in Cantonese and English; proficiency in Mandarin preferable, but not required
  • Experience in orchestra/choir management, photography/image processing would be advantageous.
  • Through rotation and shadowing in the administrative, music and marketing departments, successful candidates will gain first-hand knowledge in the essentials and the planning of choral and orchestral management, organisation of rehearsals and performances, and the marketing and promotion of cultural events.

July – August 2017

Interested candidates should fill in the application form and send by email a soft copy of your resume, cover letter and a passport photo of yourself to directors@hkfo.org with the email titled “HKFO Summer Internship Programme 2017”, on or before 12 May 2017.
