In his capacity as the Chairperson and Music Director of HKFO, Sean has worked with many distinguished artists locally and globally, including the prodigious pianists Aristo Sham and Rachel Cheung, vocalists Jovita Leung, Carol Lin, Christopher Leung and Albert Lim, popular music icon George Lam, comedian Jim Chim and renowned cellist Jian Wang.

As one of the pioneers in promoting classical music via creative media and crossovers in Hong Kong, Sean is the initiator and one of the producers and creative minds behind HKFO’s universally acclaimed 2013 Beethoven Ode to Joy Flash Mob in Shatin New Town Plaza, amassing close to a million viewers on YouTube from all over the globe, and the 2014 music video “The Young Person’s Guide to HKFO”.

Under Sean’s 6 years’ of work at HKFO, the organisation has since grown from an 80-piece orchestra to the city’s largest operating youth orchestra and choir festival, involving more than 300 choristers and orchestral players and an administrative team of 30 members of staff, collaborating frequently with international artists including the likes of pianist Yundi Li, cellist Trey Lee and conductor Vassily Sinaisky, amongst many others.

Sean studied conducting under the tutelage of maestro Dr. Jerome Hoberman and Choi Ho-man, and had previously studied the violin under Li Wing-shun, Professor Zheng Shisheng of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and Dimitar Burov.
