Eric Yu King Yin is a Hong Kong-born classical guitarist. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Music degree at Hong Kong Baptist University in 2014. In the following year, He won a scholarship to study at Manhattan School of Music, USA, with David Leisner and Mark Delpriora, and graduated with a Master of Music degree (majoring in guitar performance). He also attained a recital diploma (ATCL in Guitar) under the guidance of Christopher Wong Man Kam.
During his years of study, Eric frequently performed in master classes by renowned guitarists Álvaro Pierri, David Russell, David Starobin, Oscar Ghiglia, Paul O'Dette, and Pepe Romero. In 2014, Eric was awarded the HKSAR Government Talent Development Scholarship in recognition of his music achievement. Moreover, Eric always takes part in music recordings and performances in local concerts and gigs, including a lecture recital on guitar music From Pop to Classical at Lingnan University, Hong Kong, in 2013.
Eric has been teaching classical, pop, folk guitar, and ukulele music for ten years. He is good at making classes for students in different ages organized and interesting.
