Christopher Leung Lo On furthered his studies in music for one year at Chichester College in the United Kingdom after graduated from high school in Hong Kong. He entered The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2003 and studied under Dr. Oliver Lo, Ms. Ella Kiang, Mr. Brian Montgomery and Ms. Katusha Tsui-Fraser, majored in vocal studies. After acquiring Bachelor of Music, Leung was offered ‘Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts Society Scholarship’ as a visiting student at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts for one year and was invited to perform in the Opera “Carmen”. He has staged for many opera productions including La Traviata, Aida, Turandot, Gianni Schicchi, Dido and Aeneas, Xerxes and La Pericole. Despite of singing performance, Leung also has a passion in promoting choral education and activities by coaching 'The HK Bach Choir’ and conducting numerous school choirs in recent years. Leung conducted in the Ella Kiang Singers Annual Opera “Mikado” in 2010 and performed the role of Marco in the Ella Kiang Singers Annual Opera “The Gondoliers” in 2011; in 2012 he sang the role of Ernesto in Don Pasquale, Tenor Solo of Mozart Requiem; in 2013 he performed the role of Beppe in I Pagliacci. Leung is currently the resident conductor of Ella Kiang Singers, the host of ‘ Bel Canto Singing’ of Metro Broadcast, the vocal coach and conductor of Hong Kong Treble Choir. He obtained his Master of Music degree from the Hong Kong Baptist University in 2011, majoring in choral conducting.
