Bob Hui

Flute

Bob Hui Wing-hang began learning the flute with Ivy Chuang when he was 9. In 2016, he was awarded the Bachelor of Music (Honours) degree with first-class honour from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, where he studied with Olivier Nowak. Bob has won the Second Prize of The Hong Kong Young Musician of The Year 2006, the Third Prize at the 23rd Gisborne International Music Competition, and the Third Prize of the 2nd Japan Hong Kong International Music Competition in 2013 (no awardees for 1st and 2nd places). In 2011, he was appointed one of the Principal Flute of the Asian Youth Orchestra.

Bob is currently a regular freelance flutist in the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. He is also one of the founding members of the Philharmonia APA (PAPA).
